Presidents Report April 2026
This will be a short Presidents update, as it has been a very difficult few weeks for all of us, I have spent many days with the Dutko family members taking care of many little details and issues that have come up with the terrible loss of Bob Dutko. We previously released the schedule for visitation and burial, the dates may have to be changed to accommodate out of town Family.
We are meeting Friday the 17th at 1000 at Town and Country Diner for our monthly meeting, we will have a presentation by Marianne Perkins, US Army Evac. Nurse from the Vietnam War.
Saturday March 21st at 0830 we sponsored the Veterans Breakfast Club founder Todd DePastino. He came from Pittsburgh for a breakfast meeting of great conversation and stories from Veterans about Veterans. We ended up with 70 guests and Todd did a great job of getting people talking and sharing some great experiences. We are already planning next year.
Saturday, March 28th the AFHM presented the “Right to Fight” program honoring the massive contributions of Blacks in the Military. Every day of February we posted episodes on our website www.afhmus.org honoring their sacrifices. We had to reschedule the event due to the blizzard on Feb. 22. The N.J. Montfort Point Marines Group attended to show support of our emcees Ron Hathaway and Kelly Atkinson, and their support added greatly to the program.
I will be sending the schedule of events for this season. The updated Mobile Museum honoring the 250th Anniversary of the Revolutionary War will be featured at many. Our first event is May 2 at the Bordentown Armory.
Thank you,
Bryan Branson
President
