Presidents Reporrt March 2026
March 2026 Presidents report
I attended the Gala Award Ceremony for the 514th Air Wing from Joint Base at Merion Caterers. It was a wonderful event honoring the Units best of the best of our warfighters. It gives you a real sense of pride and security knowing the professionalism and dedication of those who defend us. I was honored to be invited to join the Commanders table with the Commander 514th Air Wing, Colonel Thad Amundson, Command Chief Master Sergeant Major Gayla Gibson, Colonel Michael Gibbs Commander 514th Mission Support Group and finally the former 514th Command Chief, Command Chief Master Sergeant Len Werner who attended from his new assignment at Dover Air Force Base. A great night shared with friends and Patriots.
We presented a $500 check to the Family Readiness council to support the Governors Youth Camp at Sea Girt coming up later this summer.
On March 9th, Bob Dutko celebrated his 90th Birthday with his extended family of 24, consisting of his Children, their Spouses, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren at Disneyworld Orlando. What a great celebration for a great man. Congratulations to him!!!
We transferred funds from the TB McGuire Foundation into the new AFHM / T.B. McGuire Foundation account at TD bank to finalize the merging of the two groups honoring and supporting the Military at Joint Base MDL and the neighboring region.
Our monthly Meeting is this Friday 20 March at Town and Country Town and Country diner at 1000. There will be a presentation on new technology helping to discover gravesites from hundreds of years ago, many of which held soldiers from the Revolutionary War. It promises to be an interesting event.
Please attend the Veterans Breakfast Club this Saturday 21 March, at Town and Country diner at 0830. Todd DePastino is coming in from Pittsburgh for another fun event. Join us for a free breakfast (donations appreciated). Please let me know if you are attending so we can get a headcount. I need to get a food count in by Thursday.
We will be presenting the “Right to Fight” 28 March,at 2pm in the Corson Poley Center at the Burlington County Historical Society. This event had to be rescheduled due to the February blizzard. Please join to honor Black History Month and the hundreds of hours spent by Bob Von Bargen and Ron Hathaway and their team preparing the story including the 28 episodes now posted on our website.
Remember that our personnel at Joint Base MDL are in need of household goods, furniture, gently worn clothes etc. Picture yourself arriving at a new home with minimal furniture and basic needs, this is what happens often with our Military and the need is real. I was able to connect a friend with Crystal Malsom at the Attic last month and they donated a whole house full of furniture with pictures sent late on a Friday night and by Saturday evening it was all picked up and cherished by many different military families. Thank you for your support.
Respectfully Submitted,
