Oren’s retired with 28+ years serving in the Air Force. He started his career, in 1975, as a helicopter crew chief, stationed in Sembach, Germany. In 1979 he transitioned to a C-141 Flight Engineer, flying both the A & B models out of McGuire Air Force Base. He retired from active duty in 2004. Oren is a veteran of the Grenada, Desert Storm and Desert Shield campaigns.
Oren is currently an Air Force Civilian serving as the C-17 Training System Project Officer and Quality Assurance Representative, at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
Oren is a graduate, Cum Laude, from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Workforce Education and Development. He holds a Master’s Degree from Embry Riddle University in Aeronautical Science.
Oren is heavily involved in diverse volunteer organizations. He serves as: Trustee and Past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis of Assisi Council on the Joint Base. He is a Board Member and Past President of the West Jersey Ski Club; Member and past Treasurer for the Major Thomas B. McGuire Memorial Foundation; Webmaster and Member for the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee. Member, Planning and Zoning Board for Pemberton Borough, New Jersey; Oren also served over 25+ years as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and is a graduate of their top leadership training course, Woodbadge.
Oren is the founding officer and charter President of the AFHHM.
