July 20, 1776 – Loyalist Jonathan Odell, preacher at Old St. Mary’s Church in Burlington, is
ordered to sign a Loyalty oath and to remain within eight miles of the Burlington County
Courthouse.
July 20, 1780 – 2000 American troops under the command of General Anthony Wayne march
from New Bridge to attack a British blockhouse at Bull’s Ferry
