On This Date December 7,1941-Pearl Harbor is attacked

December 7, 1941 – The Imperial Japanese Navy with 353 planes attack the US fleet at Pearl
Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii, killing 2,403 people. The next day, President Franklin Roosevelt
declares that a state of war exists between the United States and Japan, propelling America into
World War Two.
