Florence Patriotic Day
On Saturday, July 8th Florence Township’s annual patriotic celebration will hit the streets of the town! The annual event is a special celebration honoring both active and veteran members of the United States Military for their dedication, service and sacrifices for our country. We begin our celebration with a flag raising ceremony observing all that have served followed by a parade which includes veterans groups, recreation & civic organizations, houses of worship, local businesses, classic cars and much more.
The evening activities will take place at the municipal complex, where the parking lot will be filled with food & dessert vendors, a face painter, light up booth and treats by some of our local organizations. Yes, the crowd favorite “Bacon Bread” will be served by the Florence Township Pit Club and recreation football and cheer programs. The fireworks display will cap off our evening while live musical performances and an exciting light display fills the air.
